The Commerce Ballarat Business Excellence Awards are the most eagerly anticipated business event on the Ballarat business calendar. Held in August each year, as part of B31 Ballarat Business Month, the Gala Awards Presentation evening is the culmination of months of excitement and expectation during which businesses have gone through the nomination, application and judging process.
The Awards are an opportunity for businesses to review their business and recognise and celebrate their successes.
After a 3 year break from the awards, Ferndale returned to the mix in 2014 off the back of a strong 12 months. Ferndale’s Leigh Edward accepted the award on behalf of the family, stating that “it is a highlight for the business to be recognised by Commerce Ballarat and to accept this on behalf of the entire Ferndale family is certainly a huge honour. This award is a real credit to all of the staff who work so hard to ensure our business remains competitive in an extremely tough retail environment.”
Leigh thanked Commerce Ballarat for again putting on another terrific awards program, concluding with the sell-out Gala Dinner. Ferndale took out the Family Business & Manufacturer of the Year in 2010, before having 3 years away from the awards program.
