Bruce founded Ferndale in 1995 after spending 18 years working for Mars Confectionery.

As you walk the confectionery aisle in Coles & Woolworths, most people would be quiet surprised at how many products Bruce has played a part in over his 45 years in the industry, that are still readily available today.

Bruce retired in 2012 and is spending his retirement breeding Standardbred horses on his 400 acre horse stud, which is located on the outskirts of Ballarat. Bruce has excelled in this industry, winning Victorian Breeder of the Year in 2019.

Today Bruce acts as a mentor for Leigh, and often pops into Ferndale or So Soft HQ with a ‘NEW IDEA’. Bruce has been married to wife Vicki for over 40 years and has three children, Jarrod, Tara and Leigh. He is also a grandfather to four cheeky boys, and two gorgeous grand daughters, and Bruce shows no signs of slowing down! He is currently driving the development of FoodLine Australia, Ferndale’s biggest investment in the food industry thus far!
